The next & final session for presenting the opportunity for ISOC Members; to encourage members to vote to create a Human Centric AI SIG is on the 25th October, here is the zoom link. Open House #2 25 October 2023 1100-1200 UTC <https://isoc.zoom.us/meeting/register/tZEud-CuqTIoG9dRsHsilzoNZkV6UZbFbZdz> My hope is that works with ISOC & ISOC chapters world-wide will help to bolster the supporting structures needed to advance Human Centric AI works; and in-turn, act to inform & support the works needed to be done via this W3C community. Now, whilst I'm not sure how it will go - the general plan was to seek to find people who wanted to help support the call to action, to create this Internet Society Special Interest Group. I took on the first session; and the hope was that others would take on this subsequent and final one. It has been suggested that 90 second interventions would be ideal. If there are any members who would like to have their say, then, subject to the curators of the call - I hope the opportunity may be provided to you. If you are not already a member, see: https://www.internetsociety.org/become-a-member/ Global membership is Free and is different to regional chapter membership, the chapters are listed here. https://www.internetsociety.org/chapters/ In my mind, the volume of work required to produce Human Centric AI ecosystems support, is non-trivial. From support for human rights, safety protocols, means to address 'social attack vectors', support for all mother tongue languages; and the menas to radically / transformationally enhance engagement by people from all cultures and places of our world, as members of our human family... whilst also working to figure out how to address issues such as 'digital slavery' and the means to economically support people working on technology for the betterment of humanity, peace infrastructure projects... on fair terms... notwithstanding the statements i have heard for some decades now; in-fact, others have not been doing it all already and there is now a very long 'to do' list... this work is difficult, and somehow, we need to produce the tooling to support freedom of thought, human rights, without unintended consequences... making our mindware as free as our means to use a writing instrument with language to communicate, in the print era; is an extremely complex task. I am hopeful members of ISOC around the world, will be interested in getting involved to deliver good outcomes for each-other, one-another, our communities, societies, cultures, et.al... and if you believe you have something important for others to hear about why this is such an important undertaking to get stuck into - then please join the call. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aigR2UU4R20 Faithfully, Timothy Holborn. https://www.humancentricai.org/ https://www.linkedin.com/in/ubiquitous/
