Hi Jerome, If it turns out that there's not an opportunity for the governance deep-dive, note the sessions for other deep-dive topics, NB: Thematic Deep-Dive - Artificial Intelligence and other emerging technologies When: 2 June 2023 - starting 10.00 ET This and other sessions (inc. registration); https://www.un.org/techenvoy/global-digital-compact/intergovernmental-process#_blank With respect to the proposed treaty on AGI - I welcome continued and enhanced collaboration on whatever we might be able to achieve, perhaps for submission to the June session?? or whatever alternative suggestion, we might be able to cooperatively figure out between now & then..? FWIW | IMO: - Paul's notes about QAGI (Quantum AGI - Paul, is that right?) is a next level implication, that deserves more time workshopping via whatever the most appropriate venue might be, yet i think also - getting a better grasp of what the definition of 'intelligence' means, probably leads to improved nomenclature for both... i wouldn't consider an outcome that leads to the end of life on earth, ww3 or various other forms of dystopian futures - 'intelligent'... [image: AGI_meme.jpg] Whereas, outcomes that deliver a capacity for us to transformationally *improve* life on earth, support for human rights and other outcomes far beyond SDGs, is something that i'd consider 'intelligent'... Yet, atm, i'm not sure if that's presently part of the definition??? I think it might be helpful to work on some definitions that, are more nuanced than pre-existing, seemingly somewhat binary characteristics.. Best Wishes, Timothy Holborn.
