Hello from New Zealand, I have been working for about a year in my spare time on an OSS project to develop a model-driven no-code application for building web applications based on their domain model. Originally, we were using a JSON configuration. Then, a month or so ago, a friend mentioned ontologies and the lights suddenly came on and I realized, of course! My initial intention was to use OWL as I’ve worked with it and Protégé on and off for years, but then I discovered SHACL and realized that the CWA was probably a better fit than the OWA. I had already put together a partial ontology of HTML, another of the DOM, and some others for abstracted datatypes (language-agnostic), but began converting them to SHACL. Of course, I quickly discovered the limitations of both my knowledge of SHACL and the available documentation, so I looked for some kind of mailing list. And to my utter astonishment, I discovered this one-day-old group which has the goal of doing exactly what I’ve been working on. If that’s not good karma, I don’t know what is. So hello, all. I am excited to be part of this and eager to get started. (That said, I was part of the WCAG 2.0 Working Group back in 2001 when we thought we were “close” to finishing it — it took many more years — so eager though I may be, I know how slowly these things move.)
