HTML-ISSUE-161 (accessibility api mapping): Create document defining mappings from html elements to platform accessibility apis [authoring guide] http://www.w3.org/html/wg/tracker/issues/161 Raised by: Cynthia Shelly On product: authoring guide As was agreed at the face to face at TPAC in Mandalieu, create a document defining how html elements map to platform accessibility APIs to ensure that, on the same platform, all browsers expose html content to the native accessiblity API the same way. This ensures that AT can access html content in a consistent way across browsers. The following bugs relate to this issue. 9326 HTML elements mapping to ARIA and A11y APIs http://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/show_bug.cgi?id=9326 10463 provide a comprehensive HTML5 to accessibility API mapping reference (appears to be a dup of 9326) http://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/show_bug.cgi?id=10463 10900 HTML to Platform Accessibility APIs Implementation Guide http://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/show_bug.cgi?id=10900 may be a dup or may be about linking to the document.
