Dear all, My name is Fabrice Clari and I am coordinating MOSQUITO, a project funding by the European Commission which aims at documenting the fragmentation of the mobile Internet. Detailed information on the project can be found on its website [1]. While we worked during the first step of the project on native applications on the Android platform, we are now focusing on mobile web apps. In that context, one of our commitments is to contribute to the development of HTML5 tests. We have a small team and a limited time so in order to be efficient we would like to contribute the right way, without writing existing/in development tests. We decided to start with tests on new form input types and DeviceOrientation API. We saw a few tests on input types on the w3c-test.org website and no test on DeviceOrientation API. Could people on that list involved in those APIs give us a feedback on the pertinence of these tests? Do they make sense or should we focus on other API? Also, a reminder was already sent yesterday on that topic but I take the opportunity of this mail to provide one more time the information. An interop event [2], co-organized by MOSQUITO [3], will be held in Sophia Antipolis, France in December (6-7). The focus of this event is on interoperability of mobile web apps (see the links for more details). Registration is free but mandatory so please register if you plan to come. Thanks, and best regards, Fabrice Clari.
