https://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/show_bug.cgi?id=29457 Bug ID: 29457 Summary: Feature Request: Allow for richer text tags Product: HTML.next Version: unspecified Hardware: All OS: All Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: default Assignee: dave.null@w3.org Reporter: ennovative@gmail.com QA Contact: public-html-bugzilla@w3.org CC: mike@w3.org, robin@w3.org Target Milestone: --- Communication has changed drastically over the past 100 years; and yet our methods of adapting communications to new technology has been grossly lacking. I think there's merit in exploring alternative means to replacing conversational cues with marked up tags when written out in electronic format. This can also minimize misunderstandings. Just as we use <strong> to show importance and <em> to show emphasis, we can go further for adding additional context cues to text. Suggested tags include: <sarcasm> (text slanted left?) <confusion> (aLtErNaTiNg CaPs?) -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the QA Contact for the bug.
