Hi Devarshi,

I think that the proposed aria-describedat attribute (ARIA 1.1) will also go a
long way to addressing the core issue described by you.

(see the code example included with the above - is this what you are
envisioning?)

While I agree that HTML5 *should* have a native equivalent, I'm not sure at
this time whether one will come forward.
