https://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/show_bug.cgi?id=26110 Bug ID: 26110 Summary: Section 2.5 - Fifth rule of ARIA use needs ARIA specific examples Product: HTML WG Version: unspecified Hardware: PC OS: Windows NT Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: Using ARIA in HTML Assignee: faulkner.steve@gmail.com Reporter: w3cbugzilla@nurthen.com QA Contact: dave.null@w3.org CC: mike@w3.org, public-html-bugzilla@w3.org None of the examples in 2.5 show any ARIA use. They are all HTML specific examples, and while correct, have absolutely nothing to do with ARIA. Indeed - it could be confusing for authors using this as they may try to use an HTML LABEL element to label ARIA widgets which would not support this method of labelling. Specific eaamples using aria-labelledby, aria-label or even title would be better than the current examples as they can be supported on aria widgets. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
