That document is a step in the right direction towards addressing part #2 of comment #0 on Microsoft's part. It doesn't completely address part #2 on Microsoft's part, because as I understand it the functionality it documents is not available to all potential consumers of Microsoft's DRM platform; see page 5, "Microsoft will make available to PlayReady licensees a CDMi Implementation designed to work with the PlayReady Device Porting Kit (Device PK)."
