I realize that and I apologize for not catching it sooner.

That is not what I noted. They are blocked by the same issue, but they are not
the same bug. The other bug is specifically about the example code. This bug is
about the actual implementation. The implementation as defined is incorrect.
Fixing the other bug will not fix this one. I can file a new bug instead if you
like.
