https://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/show_bug.cgi?id=26594 Bug ID: 26594 Summary: potentially confusing redundant 'presentation' role in 'allowed roles' Product: HTML WG Version: unspecified Hardware: PC OS: All Status: NEW Severity: minor Priority: P2 Component: Using ARIA in HTML Assignee: faulkner.steve@gmail.com Reporter: ricksbrown73@gmail.com QA Contact: dave.null@w3.org CC: mike@w3.org, public-html-bugzilla@w3.org In the table "Recommended ARIA usage by HTML language feature" in the column "What Other ARIA roles, states and properties may be used?" for "article" and "ul" the role 'presentation' is listed. This is not necessary because this is already covered implicitly by the entry for "all elements". It has the potential to cause confusion, it makes one wonder why these two are special? Perhaps it's not really allowed on the others after all? Maybe I read it wrong? etc etc It would be best to keep it consistent, i.e. remove it from those two or add it to all that take it. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
