https://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/show_bug.cgi?id=25434 Bug ID: 25434 Summary: Remove unsupported informative text in Abstract regarding OOB communication. Product: HTML WG Version: unspecified Hardware: PC OS: All Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: Encrypted Media Extensions Assignee: adrianba@microsoft.com Reporter: glenn@skynav.com QA Contact: public-html-bugzilla@w3.org CC: mike@w3.org, public-html-media@w3.org The following text in the Abstract is not supported by technical requirements in the specification and should be removed. Specifically, whether or not out-of-band communication is or is not permitted is a function of the CDM/UA or CDM/Platform interfaces, neither of which is specified by EME. "This is achieved by requiring content protection system-specific messaging to be mediated by the page rather than assuming out-of-band communication between the encryption system and a license or other server." -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the QA Contact for the bug.
