[Bug 16066] Use of single solidus character on void elements. Almost all void elements used in the examples throughout the HTML5 specification have no closing single solidus character. In the Start tags section (8.1.2.1) it states that its use has no effect on void e from bugzilla@jessica.w3.org on 2012-03-03 (public-html-bugzilla@w3.org from March 2012)

The editor explicitly wishes to show different styles of authoring, to make it
clear none of them is recommended over the others.
