https://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/show_bug.cgi?id=18438 Summary: The Table summary attribute Product: HTML.next Version: unspecified Platform: PC OS/Version: other Status: NEW Severity: trivial Priority: P2 Component: default AssignedTo: dave.null@w3.org ReportedBy: devarshipant@gmail.com QAContact: public-html-bugzilla@w3.org CC: plh@w3.org, mike@w3.org I am not sure regarding the fate of the summary attribute. Nevertheless, came across a scenario (apologies if it is a duplicate): ***A screen reader like JAWS will concatenate column headers and linearize the data cells. JAWS then presents this information in the table utility list*** When a summary attribute is applied, the problem seems to disappear. -Devarshi -- Configure bugmail: https://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the QA contact for the bug.
