How is "aria-labelledby" "pseudosemantic" in a way that <ilegend> is not?

What does "dirty" mean in objective, technical terms?

I totally agree it's a bit more verbose, but that's probably not good reason to
add complexity to the core vocabulary.

Alleged personal taste has no technical relevance. HTML is a host language for
ARIA; these attributes are part of HTML, and they appear to do precisely what
you are asking for.
