My previous statement was related to another bug, sorry.  

On this bug: why on earth would you not have a control that allows a person to
choose subtitles/captions? If you're going to provide a control, and, in fact,
you're not allowing designers and developers the ability to override providing
this control (when scripting is turned off), why would you not want a
comprehensive control?

If we followed your logic, blu-ray and DVD players would not provide options
for people to pick captions or subtitles if the video provides them--based on
some off chance there are people who may not want them.

Your decision makes no sense, at all. And it totally contradicts the addition
of support for multiple tracks. Why provide multiple track API support, if you
don't account for multiple tracks in the user interface?

Bizarre.
