http://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/show_bug.cgi?id=8736 Summary: Decision to playback for media should be left to the user agent Product: HTML WG Version: unspecified Platform: PC URL: http://www.w3.org/TR/html5/video.html#playing-the-media- resource OS/Version: Windows NT Status: NEW Keywords: a11y Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: HTML5 spec bugs AssignedTo: dave.null@w3.org ReportedBy: gez.lemon@gmail.com QAContact: public-html-bugzilla@w3.org CC: ian@hixie.ch, mike@w3.org, public-html@w3.org, public- html-a11y@w3.org The specification states: "If the media element's Document stops being a fully active document, then the playback will stop until the document is active again." This implies that it would not be possible for a user to listen to audio in the background or take notes about a video in another application while viewing the video at the same time. Suggest that the decision about what should be done in this case should be left to the user agent. -- Configure bugmail: http://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the QA contact for the bug.
