http://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/show_bug.cgi?id=8717 Summary: Usability and Element-level-focus-apis Product: HTML WG Version: unspecified Platform: PC URL: http://dev.w3.org/html5/spec/editing.html#element-level- focus-apis OS/Version: All Status: NEW Keywords: a11y, a11ytf Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: HTML5 spec bugs AssignedTo: dave.null@w3.org ReportedBy: joshue.oconnor@cfit.ie QAContact: public-html-bugzilla@w3.org CC: ian@hixie.ch, mike@w3.org, public-html@w3.org, public- html-a11y@w3.org The spec currently states: "The blur() method, when invoked, should run the focusing steps for the body element, if there is one; if there is not, then it should run the unfocusing steps for the element on which the method was called instead. User agents may selectively or uniformly ignore calls to this method for usability reasons." I think examples where calls of the blur() method need to be ignored should be given. It would help to reinforce correct use, rather that the assumption that the reader inherently understands good usability practice. -- Configure bugmail: http://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the QA contact for the bug.
