http://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/show_bug.cgi?id=8671 Summary: Requiring the label attribute Product: HTML WG Version: unspecified Platform: PC URL: http://www.w3.org/TR/html5/interactive- elements.html#the-command OS/Version: Windows NT Status: NEW Keywords: a11y Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: HTML5 spec bugs AssignedTo: dave.null@w3.org ReportedBy: gez.lemon@gmail.com QAContact: public-html-bugzilla@w3.org CC: ian@hixie.ch, mike@w3.org, public-html@w3.org, public- html-a11y@w3.org Icon and label attributes give the visible and textual representation of the command. This is actually a really elegant way of handling what is now handled by <a href><img alt="">Display Text</a>. Label is not currently required, but it should be. Suggest adding an attribute that shows or hides the label, so you could have a button that is just an icon, but that has a label anyway. This would be great for toolbars that shrink and grow based on widow size. -- Configure bugmail: http://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the QA contact for the bug.Received on Thursday, 7 January 2010 10:55:42 UTC
