oh that sounds like a good resolution to this bug thanks.

meanwhile, to any browser implementers reading this _please_ implement
innerhtml and friends on mathml elements. However that now seems to be an
implementation issue not a spec one, so happy for ian to close this once he
enacts the action noted above.
