http://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/show_bug.cgi?id=6977 Summary: Unnecessary sentence in <cite> presentation Product: HTML WG Version: unspecified Platform: PC OS/Version: Windows NT Status: NEW Severity: enhancement Priority: P5 Component: Spec proposals AssignedTo: dave.null@w3.org ReportedBy: olivier.gendrin@gmail.com QAContact: public-html-bugzilla@w3.org CC: ian@hixie.ch, mike@w3.org, public-html@w3.org, olivier.gendrin@gmail.com Reading the work about cite [1], I have been disturbed by the second sentence : "This can be a work that is being quoted or referenced in detail (i.e. a citation), or it can just be a work that is mentioned in passing.". We should remove this, it's an unnecessary precision that drives people to ask themselves unnecessary questions.
