https://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/show_bug.cgi?id=24298 Bug ID: 24298 Summary: The canvas spec has huge differences W3C HTML Canvas 2D Context Product: WHATWG Version: unspecified Hardware: All URL: http://www.whatwg.org/specs/web-apps/current-work/mult ipage/the-canvas-element.html OS: All Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: HTML Assignee: ian@hixie.ch Reporter: VYV03354@nifty.ne.jp QA Contact: contributor@whatwg.org CC: ehsan@mozilla.com, eoconnor@apple.com, hsivonen@hsivonen.fi, ian@hixie.ch, mike@w3.org, public-html-admin@w3.org, public-html-wg-issue-tracking@w3.org Depends on: 21045, 21046 For example, the WHATWG spec has the "resolution" attribute for the ImageData interface, but W3C's one is not. Note that this is only a tiny example of gazillions of differences. +++ This bug was initially created as a clone of Bug #21045 +++ I was totally confused by HTMLImageElement's named constructor. If both spec editors won't work together, which spec do we have to follow? (Of course you will say "The WHATWG's one." :) It would be the nightmare if implementers have to watch both specs and determine which description is newer. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
