Philippe produced a candidate Canvas2D Level 1 Last Call Draft on Monday and I am now trying to determine how this "late breaking" change impacts that draft and the CfC we would do to take Canvas2D Level 1 back to Last Call. I am working with Philippe and the Editors on this. Stay tuned ... /paulc Paul Cotton, Microsoft Canada 17 Eleanor Drive, Ottawa, Ontario K2E 6A3 Tel: (425) 705-9596 Fax: (425) 936-7329 From: Richard Schwerdtfeger [mailto:schwer@us.ibm.com] Sent: Thursday, April 30, 2015 10:12 AM To: Rik Cabanier Cc: Dominic Mazzoni; HTML A11Y TF Public Subject: Re: drawfocusIfNeeded change I filed the following bug to make this change on the editor's draft: https://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/show_bug.cgi?id=28585 Rich Schwerdtfeger [Inactive hide details for Rik Cabanier ---04/27/2015 11:55:53 AM---Yes, that sounds fine. I am looking at the editor's draft of the drawFocusIfNeeded function: http://www.w3.org/html/wg/drafts/2dcontext/html5_canvas_CR/#dom-context-2d-drawfocusifneeded If I recall we discussed not that when an drawing the focus that we did not necessarily want to scroll the element to the top of the view. Should text on scrolling be modified from: If the focus area is not on the screen, then scroll the focus outline into view by aligning it to the top when it receives focus. To: If the focus area is not on the screen, then scroll the focus outline into view. Please advise. If we need to change this I will file a bug. Best, Rich Rich Schwerdtfeger
