Please assign me an action to make a formal proposal to accept the tests I have proposed, unless someone has further comments on them. > agenda+ Longdesc LC Comments: Process and Responses There are comments tracked in https://www.w3.org/2006/02/lc-comments-tracker/44061/WD-html-longdesc-20130716/ and there are pointers to responses I have made I propose to make no substantive changes in response to the comments, but in response to the comments from James Craig I will propose to add a statement to the effect that authors should not use longdesc as an excuse for not achieving better accessibility with techniques like the use of accessible SVG, or MathML instead of pictures of mathematical expressions - in such cases longdesc should be considered a fallback for old technology. The rationale for rejecting the proposal to tighten the requirement on making longdesc accessible through the UI is that we have looked at several possiblities for implementation in Yandex, and most of them are *not* similar to the way "normal" links are activated. Please assign me an action to provide proposed responses to each comment.
