RE: CANCELLED: HTML-A11Y Task Force; 22 August at 15:00Z for 60 minutes

The test on a table summary placed in the caption element... I placed a
long description of about 300 words into a table caption, to see if there
would be any clipping... I tried it with a narrow table and a wide table in
Safari on MAC, IE on WIN 8, Chrome and FF latest versions... there was no
clipping with window at full screen or making the screen very narrow.

Subject: CANCELLED: HTML-A11Y Task Force; 22 August at 15:00Z for 60 minutes

Colleagues:

We failed to achieve a quorum on the call.

We did, nevertheless, meet informally to discuss to issues recently raised.

1.)	Reported problem with table summary

http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-html-a11y/2013Aug/0060.html

We were unable to replicate the problem as best we recollect the issue.
A precise problem statement is needed. Janina believes the issue was first
reported by James Nurthen. Leonie will follow up with him.

2.)	Request re HTML+ARIA

A request to PF regarding ARIA was registered via the public-pfwg-comments
list this week to "Drop the requirement that host languages must allow a
token list as the value of the role attribute."

http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-pfwg-comments/2013JulSep/0007.htm
l

This has resulted in the following HTML-WG bug:

https://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/show_bug.cgi?id=23027

This seems to pertain to:

http://www.w3.org/TR/html5/dom.html#sec-implicit-aria-semantics

No further discussions were held on this call.
