Hi y'all, The Joint WCAG & PF Task Force for HTML5 and WAI-ARIA WCAG Techniques will be meeting on Monday 2nd April at 1700 UTC/GMT (9AM PST, 12 Noon EST) World Clock: <http://ow.ly/8ysBT> Length: 60 minutes Bridge: +1.617.761.6200 (US), +33.4.26.46.79.03 (France), +44.203.318.0479 (UK) Passcode: 9224# IRC: irc.w3.org port: 6665 channel #html-techs-tf Agenda: * Item 1: Review of submitted technique for Captions: Survey for revised Caption technique. [1] You can review the technique here. [2] * Item 2: Request from PF to discuss and review the on-screen behavior of tab accessible hidden data. Here is an extract from PF minutes. [3] This issue related to author confusion over how CSS can hide data from screen readers, such as wanting to visually hide a @longdesc but at the same time using CSS display:none actually also hides it from the screen reader users as well. Laura Carlson kindly provided us with some examples. [4] [5] HTML5 now has a global @hidden, so we need to discuss this attribute it's use cases and potential impact on people with disabilities. [6] If you have any other items you wish to add to the agenda, please ping the list asap.
