In this meeting we evaluated two new bugs and talked about Bugzilla accessibility. http://www.w3.org/2011/02/22-a11y-bugs-minutes.html ==== HTML Accessibility Bug-Triage 22 Feb 2011 Agenda: http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-html-a11y/2011Feb/0184.html Attendees Present Martin_Kliehm, Marco_Ranon, Michael_Cooper Regrets Laura_Carlson Chair Martin_Kliehm Scribe Martin_Kliehm Contents * Topics 1. New bugs: #11891 - http://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/show_bug.cgi?id=11891 2. New bugs: #12141 - http://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/show_bug.cgi?id=12141 3. Accessibility of Bugzilla - http://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/show_bug.cgi?id=10525 TOPIC: New bugs: #11891 http://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/show_bug.cgi?id=11891 <scribe> scribe: Martin_Kliehm <scribe> scribenick: kliehm Mike Smith requests to add the role attribute to the list of global attributes, Steve Faulkner confirms it. So the HTML accessibility bug triage sub-team thinks this issue should be task force priority, adding the a11yTF keyword. TOPIC: New bugs: #12141 http://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/show_bug.cgi?id=12141 The HTML accessibility bug triage sub-team thinks this issue should be task force priority because it's related to the other media work, adding the a11yTF keyword. TOPIC: Accessibility of Bugzilla http://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/show_bug.cgi?id=10525 MK: The bug is on the list of bugs owned by the chairs awaiting a a11yTF decision. Since the bug-triage sub-team members have experience in accessibility assessments I'd propose to check against WCAG and screenreader compatibility. The bug-triage sub-team doesn't think this should be task force priority because it's an external tool, but we encourage individuals to look into the accessibility of the tool and make recommendations or improvements. Most bug-triage team members don't have the resources to assess Bugzilla themselves, but we do recommend another check. MK: By the way, Bugzilla version 4 was released a couple of days ago, so a comparison between the currently installed version (3.6.2) and the latest version would make sense.
