http://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/show_bug.cgi?id=10642 --- Comment #67 from Artur Ortega <ortega@yahoo-inc.com> 2010-11-12 18:46:57 UTC --- In response to comment #58: Hi Ian, At least two blind persons (including me) commented on this ticket and argued for the need of an alternate text for the poster image and how it would improve their lives. I don't think that your sarcastic reasoning "cargo-cult accessibility" has any grounds. You didn't respond on my question why "pretty looking and manipulative images" should be hidden for blind or visually impaired users. Believe or not, blind users care about images: http://www.flickr.com/groups/blind_photographers/pool/ It's sad that such a simple issue needs to be escalated to the full HTML Working Group despite having several suggestions how to accommodate the request. -- Configure bugmail: http://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
