[from Janina, redirecting from Judy] With respect to: http://www.w3.org/2002/09/wbs/44061/20080526_media-requirements/results#xq20 Granularity Control for Structured Nav This is a result of review by Judy and Janina of another of our assigned sections. Here are our recommendations--still works in progress: 0.) Consider whether comprehension is enhanced by moving this section below "Content Navigation by Content Structure." 1.) Add a requirement: "A real-time control mechanism must be provided for adjusting the granularity of the specific structural navigation point next and previous." 2) And/or: "Users must be able to set the range/scope of next and previous in real time 3.) Users need to be able to access the granularity control using any input mode, e.g. keyboard, speech, pointer, etc. -- Replaces CNS3 4.) Users must be able to skip, play in line, or directly access ansillary structures (\[explain or link to previous explanation of ansillary structures]. Additional suggestions re "3.1 Keyboard Access to interactive controls / menus" 1.) Rename this section "Access to Interactive Controls and Menus" 2.) Add a statement to the background section to clarify that access through any control device needs to be supported, pointing, keyboard, speech, etc. -- Janina Sajka, Phone: +1.443.300.2200 sip:janina@asterisk.rednote.net Chair, Open Accessibility janina@a11y.org Linux Foundation http://a11y.org Chair, Protocols & Formats Web Accessibility Initiative http://www.w3.org/wai/pf World Wide Web Consortium (W3C)
