Hello Everyone, This week's HTML Accessibility Resolved & Rejected Bug report is pretty much identical to last week's report [1] as the task force didn't make any bug decisions and Ian made just two resolutions. The two resolutions since January 13 are: * One bug was marked WORKSFORME. (Gregory's 8745) * One bug was marked INVALID. (Gez's 8755) They are incorporated in the full report below. The HTML5 Accessibility Bug Status Table is at: http://www.w3.org/WAI/PF/HTML/wiki/Bugs#Bug_Status_Table Bug Report Details: 1. We currently have no "REMIND" or "MOVED" bugs. I will add those categories if we receive any bugs labeled in that fashion. 2. We have one "INVALID" a11y Bug that the Task Force may want to make sure we are in agreement is in fact invalid: http://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/show_bug.cgi?id=8755 (Gez Lemon reported this bug for WAI) 3. We currently have three a11y "DUPLICATE" bugs that seem like duplicates to me. http://www.w3.org/WAI/PF/HTML/wiki/Bugs#Resolution:_DUPLICATE_Bugs 4. We have a number of "FIXED" a11y Bugs that the Task Force may want to make sure we agree are indeed fixed. They include: http://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/show_bug.cgi?id=8524 (Jeanne Spellman reported this bug for AUWG) http://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/show_bug.cgi?id=8656 (Gez reported this bug for WAI) http://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/show_bug.cgi?id=8658 (Gez reported this bug for WAI) http://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/show_bug.cgi?id=8668 (Gez reported this bug for WAI) http://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/show_bug.cgi?id=7404 (Canvas related) http://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/show_bug.cgi?id=8187 (Kelly Ford reported this audio description bug) http://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/show_bug.cgi?id=8525 (Jeanne Spellman reported this bug for AUWG) In case I missed any "FIXED" a11y Bugs that you think the task force should look at further, the full "FIXED" listing is at: http://www.w3.org/WAI/PF/HTML/wiki/Bugs#Resolution:_FIXED_Bugs 5. We have one "LATER" a11y Bug that the Task Force may want to make sure we are in agreement with postponing: http://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/show_bug.cgi?id=5758 (Jim Jewett's 2008 Audio Video Bug). 6. We have two "WORKSFORME" a11y Bug that the Task Force may want to make sure works for everyone: http://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/show_bug.cgi?id=8745 (Gregory reported this Deprecation of the use of TABLE for Layout bug) http://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/show_bug.cgi?id=8617 (Gez reported this icon attribute bug for WAI) 7. I would recommend that the Task Force look at the a11y NEEDSINFO query to see if there are ways we can help give Ian the information that he needs. http://www.w3.org/WAI/PF/HTML/wiki/Bugs#Resolution:_NEEDSINFO_Bugs Quite a few a11y bugs that Gez entered are marked "NEEDSINFO". 8. I would also recommend that the task force look at the a11y WONTFIX query to see if we are in agreement that these bugs do not need to be fixed or have been escalated to issues. There are currently sixteen WONTFIX bugs. http://www.w3.org/WAI/PF/HTML/wiki/Bugs#Resolution:_WONTFIX_Bugs Related References: Escalating a Bug to an Issue http://www.w3.org/WAI/PF/HTML/wiki/Bugs/Escalating_a_Bug_to_an_Issue Accessibility Issues in the HTML5 Tracker http://www.w3.org/WAI/PF/HTML/wiki/Issues Accessibility Change Proposal Status Table http://www.w3.org/WAI/PF/HTML/wiki/Accessibility_Change_Proposal_Status Weekly Resolved and Rejected Bugs Reports Archive http://www.w3.org/WAI/PF/HTML/wiki/Bugs/Weekly_Resolved_and_Rejected_Bugs_Reports Best Regards, Laura [1] http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-html-a11y/2010Jan/0155.html -- Laura L.
