aloha! the action item assigned to me as Action-2 http://www.w3.org/WAI/PF/HTML/track/actions/2 was to convert a google spreadsheet into something more accessible (such as a definition list) but i have been unable to obtain the source code for the spreadsheet either from the google spreadsheets site, nor through an appeal to the spreadsheet's maintainers. furthermore, i question the use of TF members' cycles to correct something that has been presented to the group in a less-than-optimal format which renders that information quite difficult to process non-visually. frankly, i believe that the onus to "fix" such problems falls NOT on the shoulders of those who need a different format, but squarely on the shoulders of those who created non-compliant content in an open collaborative forum ostensively dedicated to accessibility. therefore, i ask that the action item be assigned to someone else, who can more readily translate a spreadsheet/table and its color coding into something interoperable and usable by all TF members. as for action 7, that was assigned to me by RichS, during a canvas api TF call, and i am following up on the queries to braille experts, which i have made in regards the action item... are Canvas API issues to be tracked via the HTML A11y TF tracker, or will the CANVAS API group have its own tracker to reduce clutter on the main TF tracker? i think the confusion arose because Rich convened the canvas TF meeting in the same IRC channel that had been used earlier in the day for the main HTML A11y TF meeting, so some of the action items which may have appeared in the minutes from the earlier meeting held in that IRC channel gregory. -------------------------------------------------------------- You cannot depend on your eyes when your imagination is out of focus. -- Mark Twain -------------------------------------------------------------- Gregory J.
