At our regular HTML-A11Y Teleconference on Thursday 22 April: http://www.w3.org/2010/04/22-html-a11y-minutes.html I was requested to draft and circulate resolution language in support of a Change Proposal in the HTML-WG which takes a position very similar to a resolution we approved and forwarded to the HTML-WG just a few weeks ago regarding several issues, specifically: ISSUE-90 figure ISSUE-91 aside ISSUE-93 details ISSUE-95 hidden ISSUE-96 progress ISSUE-97 meter This email provides this draft and serves as our Call for Consensus on this question. Please expect a vote on the resolution at our upcoming teleconference on Thursday 29 April. Suggested edits, objections, additional comments, and votes by Task Force members unable to attend the Thursday teleconference may be logged by responding to this message before our Thursday teleconference (at 15:00 UTC). Candidate Resolution RESOLUTION: The HTML-A11Y Task Force supports the zero-edit change proposal at http://www.w3.org/html/wg/wiki/ChangeProposals/KeepNewElements. We note this proposal closely tracks our previously submitted recommendation ISSUE-90 figure, ISSUE-91 aside, ISSUE-93 details, ISSUE-95 hidden, ISSUE-96 progress, and ISSUE-97 meter at: http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-html/2010Apr/1086.html -- Janina Sajka, Phone: +1.443.300.2200 sip:janina@asterisk.rednote.net Chair, Open Accessibility janina@a11y.org Linux Foundation http://a11y.org Chair, Protocols & Formats Web Accessibility Initiative http://www.w3.org/wai/pf World Wide Web Consortium (W3C)
