Hi, Count me in as well. A couple of years ago, there was a proposal that suggested developing an HTML standard for email that would force the use of no-quirks mode might be helpful. It was recently moved to a new location. I’m not sure whether it might get more visibility in its new home or not. https://github.com/w3c/html/issues/253 https://github.com/w3c/html/issues/255 I don’t know whether people reading this list will find anything useful in the proposal or not. Also CSS support in some of the most frequently used HTML email clients is summarized here: https://www.campaignmonitor.com/css/ Suggestions for accessibility testing for HTML email is mentioned in this article: https://www.campaignmonitor.com/resources/guides/accessibility/ Best Regards, /Paul -- Paul Tykodi Principal Consultant TCS - Tykodi Consulting Services LLC Tel/Fax: 603-343-1820 Mobile: 603-866-0712 E-mail: ptykodi@tykodi.com <mailto:ptykodi@tykodi.com> WWW: <http://www.tykodi.com/> http://www.tykodi.com This e-mail reply and any attachments are confidential and may be privileged. I've learnt a lot about webmail security these past two years. And I'd love to start chatting with webmail makers and email client makers to understand some of the restrictions they have. For example, I've just tested this email (http://emails.hteumeuleu.fr/wp-content/uploads/2016/02/the-fab-four.html) on Yandex.Mail (https://mail.yandex.com). It looks like Yandex.Mail completely removes the content of an inline "style" attribute whenever there is a substraction in a calc() function. For example, `min-width:calc(25%);` is supported. But `width:calc(230400px - 48000%);` will make the whole inline styles get filtered. Is this a bug or a feature ? What's the reasoning behind this from Yandex point of view ? More and more I'm thinking that a specification explaining what webmails implementors should be careful about in CSS, what attributes should they prefix in HTML, etc. could be very useful. Do you agree with that ? -- Rémi 2016-07-06 15:02 GMT+02:00 Hall, Charles (DET-MRM) <Charles.Hall@mrm-mccann.com <mailto:Charles.Hall@mrm-mccann.com> >: I second that.
