Hi folks, Yesterday's conference call was postponed because of a low turnout and feeling that we needed more time to consider solutions, so I'd like to reschedule. Please note your availability via the link below. Our next discussion will be about how to handle permissions in the file portion of the API. We need to specify something flexible enough to allow for a variety of use cases, bearing in mind that permissions may need to be applied to entities other than files. To be ready for this discussion, I'd like to ask that each of us take a close look at how at least one existing, publicly available API not developed by one of us handles permissions. http://www.doodle.com/a4i497kybuqy64e3 Agenda 1. suggestions to increase active participation in our community group 2. review of existing solutions to permission handling in existing APIs 3. group discussion of a possible solution for HPCweb -Annette -- Annette Greiner Outreach, Software, and Programming Group NERSC, LBNL amgreiner@lbl.gov 510-495-2935
