nainar has just created a new issue for https://github.com/w3c/css-houdini-drafts:

== Example 7 should be polling `computedStyleMap()` not attributeStyleMap ==
It seems like the example if returning computed values, the element should be looking at `computedStyleMap()` in that case not `attributeStyleMap`
