please create github w3c/hclscg-npdi-fair (was Re: proposal for a new community group note helping natural product drug interaction researchers

Hi Eric or Michel,

Would you be able to please create a new github repository for the new Draft Community Group Report we are working on titled "How to Make Natural Product – Drug Interaction Study Data Findable, Accessible, Interoperable And Reusable (FAIR)"?

Current draft:

https://dbmi-icode-01.dbmi.pitt.edu/dikb-evidence/hclscg-npdi-fair/

My github username is rkboyce - if possible, please allow me to add collaborators.

Once that github is created, I will move the index.html and supporting material into the repo and push it. I will acquire a w3id under hclscg.

Unlike the last report, my goal is for a rather quick turn around on this - hoping for publishing by the end of July.

thank you for your help,
-R

I think it is a good idea. There is a need for making information about Natural product drug interactions available and accessible. I would be happy to join the effort.

Dear HCLS-CG Community Group Members and Chairs,

While we are wrapping up the PDDI Min Info Model report, I wanted to propose another report project. This one would help a set of recommended researchers whose work advances knowledge about natural product drug interactions (NPDI) make their data more FAIR. The context for this report would be to make the recommendations and requirements from a variety of sources more accessible to researchers who study natural product chemistry and NPDI pharmacology. It would re-package several recommendations from other sources while contributing some new recommendations that will arise from involvement of leading NPDI researchers. It would distinguish recommendations that apply generally to all types of NPDI research from those that are specific to natural product chemistry and NPDI pharmacology. I would like to lead development of this note and have started a draft of it here:

https://dbmi-icode-01.dbmi.pitt.edu/dikb-evidence/hclscg-npdi-fair/

The context section clarifies the purpose of the note:

I would like to follow the excellent writing example set by the W3C Recommendation "Data on the Web Best Practices" (https://www.w3.org/TR/dwbp/<https://nam05.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.w3.org%2FTR%2Fdwbp%2F&data=02%7C01%7Crdb20%40pitt.edu%7C9d3ca675f44646e0024708d6cbf15053%7C9ef9f489e0a04eeb87cc3a526112fd0d%7C1%7C1%7C636920634668546657&sdata=UxmylpW1nQMqFwep1J0hYaFgofa6ne1pMDPdCz32ASI%3D&reserved=0>) that has a high level summary of the recommendations and then fills in a template for each recommendation. I have started some draft recommendations:

Does anyone in the Community Group want to join this effort? Any objections to proceeding?

thanks for your time,

-Rich
