For everyone's reference... http://www.cdisc.org/models/sdtm/v1.1/index.html - note the discussions lists related to SDTM drafts. Remember SDTM comes out of a codification of practices that have been going on for quite a while, and are therefore dissimilar from most ontological discussions. I would think the SDTM work is more similar to the early days of Gene Ontology (and that's when Michael Ashburner visibly stepped away from the more formal ontology discussions) -Eric
