There are folks in HCLS who don't know about the public-hcls-coi mailing list and feel a bit in the dark about what we're doing. The proposal is that we start using public-semweb-lifesci, like the rest of the IG task forces. The usual reason for not doing this is when there is a lot of traffic and it will be a pain for folks who are not interested in following our details. We don't have much traffic, and it is probably worth using the same list so others stay aware and can participate when they notice something that interests them. It would be useful if COI, and the other task forces, prefixed their task-force-specific mail with a prefix, e.g. [COI]. If we migrate the subscribers to public-hcls-coi over to the mail list, we can set an example by using prefixes, and others will learn from that. Anyone care to argue against closing public-semweb-coi and moving to the main list? -- -eric office: +1.617.258.5741 32-G528, MIT, Cambridge, MA 02144 USA mobile: +1.617.599.3509 (eric@w3.org) Feel free to forward this message to any list for any purpose other than email address distribution.
