Dear All, Native Messaging which started its life as a "workaround" (http://www.cnet.com/news/google-paves-over-hole-left-by-chrome-plug-in-ban/ ) is now beginning to look close to a de-facto standard for desktop browsers. https://wpdev.uservoice.com/forums/257854-microsoft-edge-developer/suggestions/13612338-native-messaging Chrome: Shipping since late 2013 Opera: Shipping Firefox: Currently in beta, planned for general use in V.50 Edge: In the workings according to the Microsoft Edge team Safari: N/A and no plans have been disclosed For mobile browsers the situation is considerably more complex since the platform vendors themselves (Apple, Google, and Samsung) also needed something like Native Messaging to make their App-based "wallets" usable on the Web as well. There is currently very little public information on these developments. Anders
