RE: New on GRDDL Logo

Simone,

Very nice! It's great to have them all together for comparison
purposes, and it never fails to amaze me what a little color can do to
make logos more vibrant. I do like the new #2.

I have some suggestions; take them for whatever they're worth. Logos
#1, #2, and #4 all use gears in relation to the "triples triangle" that
has come to symbolize RDF. I like that general idea; I think of the
gears as symbolizing GRDDL transformations for building the "triples
triangle". In each of these logos, however, the gears appear to be a
component of the resulting graph, where I would visualize them as being
separate. (They build the graph, but are not part of it.) For example,
in #2 and #4, I might try showing edges "being formed" (perhaps with
arrows starting at one node and arcing towards a second node); in #4 I
would disconnect the gear in the center from the three nodes surrounding
it, as well.

Would you be willing to send out the original SVG for some collaborative
logo brainstorming? :)

Take care,

    John L. Clark
