I agree, profile URIs will become pretty important and i think they have been under explained, under valued, and under evangelized. Some of the reasons they have not been created yet is because they are a lower priority, and there are attempts to try and create some sort of "includes" for XMDPs. hReview uses both hCard and hCalendar, so instead of creating an hReview XMDP profile URI with EVERY possible value, they only want to include the ones unique to hReview and reference the ones for hCard and hCalendar. there are also other problems with the lack of Profile URIs when it comes to parsing because of the lack of namespaces in microformats, but I'll save my rant for another mailing-list. If someone were to create an hCalendar XMDP file i'm sure we could find a permanent home for it somewhere. -brian On 9/1/06, Danny Ayers <danny.ayers@gmail.com> wrote: > > On 9/1/06, Ian Davis <ian.davis@talis.com> wrote: > > > For the examples I'll use a document link to the transformation. > > Probably that's better anyway as a first example - less magic > > indirection to explain. > > That makes a lot of sense.
