<DanC> 18 Oct minutes
<DanC> scribe next week is DanC
RESOLUTION: Minutes from last meeting
<DanC> RESOLVED: to meet again 1 Nov 11aET, 16:00-17:30Z, DanC to scribe
<briansuda> it is slowly making its way through the microformats world too
DanC: notable - an article on microformats and URIs
<DanC> What is the problem I have with MicroFormats: there is no URI
<DanC> $ python testHarness.py --run ./gleanWrapper http://dev.w3.org/cvsweb/~checkout~/2005/grddl-ts/test-lists.rdf
<DanC> test details from Dom
chimezie: working on reference implementation and getting through test suites
HarryH: Issues with references to non-authoritative vocabularies in specification?
<HarryH> HarryH: Nevermind, apparentlyi it's authoritative
Murray: keep examples in spec (rather than in primer)
Murray: seperate spec into normative and informative sections
<DanC> ACTION: DanC to create a "normative only" view of the GRDDL spec [recorded in http://www.w3.org/2006/10/25-grddl-wg-minutes.html#action01]
Murray: GRDDL transform for the specification
what do you extract from the specification?
DanC: currently transforms to an ontology with a normative reference to FOAF
HarryH: definitions and terms should be the short term goal for the result of a transform on the specification
Murray: spec takes a stand, the issue is open
chimezie: we can devise test cases that show where an open output will fail and where it will work
Murray: waiting for feedback from community
... *will* need to check intelligently for unguided formats
<DanC> pending_tests += "be robust in the face of unknown serializations", "you may support turtle"
<scribe> ACTION: chimezie to develop test case to demonstrate both sides of the issue with #issue-output-formats [recorded in http://www.w3.org/2006/10/25-grddl-wg-minutes.html#action02]
Murray: conversation was tabled for later. They were okay with this WG making a determination of processing order. Some members were alarmed
DanC: would like to see testcases for pipeline-specified order of processing or situation where there is no guaranateed order
Murray: Pipleline spec is a moving target
<DanC> pending_tests += "no, xinclude doesn't come for free in xslt", "yes, you can use XProc to say to do xinclude and XSLT"
ACTION, Murray, DanC, chimezie: formulate source examples (with xincludes) for GRDDL transform
<scribe> ACTION: Murray, DanC, chimezie formulate source examples (with xincludes) for GRDDL transform [recorded in http://www.w3.org/2006/10/25-grddl-wg-minutes.html#action04]
<DanC> ACTION:Iand to construct a content negotiation test case [CONTINUES] [recorded in http://www.w3.org/2006/10/25-grddl-wg-minutes.html#action05]
<DanC> ACTION: iand to review Murray's suggested intro [CONTINUES] [recorded in http://www.w3.org/2006/10/25-grddl-wg-minutes.html#action06]
UNKNOWN_SPEAKER: conversation on formulating URIs for works of art for reference in an RDF graph ..
<HarryH> For next release, we could always use www.example.org URIs
<scribe> ACTION: DanC to contribute hotel reviews for primer [recorded in http://www.w3.org/2006/10/25-grddl-wg-minutes.html#action07]
<HarryH> Brian: Do you think we need more hotel reviews?
<DanC> (note on unfortuntate verbosity of RDF/XML Stand example noted in 1.145)
<briansuda> we just need something with hReviews
<HarryH> DanC - we'll just use hotel reviews
<DanC> Semantic Web Client Library
DanC: Semantic Web Client Library is worth looking into
http://esw.w3.org/topic/WebClosure
http://esw.w3.org/topic/FollowLinksForMoreInformation
http://esw.w3.org/topic/HCLS/WebClosureSocialConvention
<HarryH> ACTION: Harry and Brian to rewrite second part of primer to use Brian and Dan's instance data [recorded in http://www.w3.org/2006/10/25-grddl-wg-minutes.html#action08]
Murray: With regards to real data on the web: putting up web data on a band. Possibility of writing reviews. Do we need these live examples? Need pointers to appropriate vocabularies
<briansuda> here's how to create hReviews: http://microformats.org/code/hreview/creator
<briansuda> XFN is here (http://www.gmpg.org/xfn/) FoaF is gleaned from that
<scribe> .. ongoing conversation on if this is needed ..
<scribe> .. ongoing conversation on additional advocacy, examples, etc ..
LinkedIn is one possibility
http://uk.techcrunch.com/?p=81 - LinkedIn supports microformats at last
<HarryH> tagsoup possibilities?
<DanC> ACTION: DanC to prepare slides on grddl-rules.n3 [recorded in http://www.w3.org/2006/10/25-grddl-wg-minutes.html#action09]
<HarryH> Possibilities of looking at n3 rules for GRDDL formalization?
