<DanC_> Re: toward tests for spec#issue-mt-ns
looking in http://www.w3.org/2001/sw/grddl-wg/td/sq1.xml
Content-Type: application/xml; qs=0.9
$ HEAD http://www.w3.org/2001/sw/grddl-wg/td/sq1ns
looking at http://www.w3.org/2001/sw/grddl-wg/td/sq1.xml http://www.w3.org/2001/sw/grddl-wg/td/sq1
"sounds about right" say several
<briansuda> yes
<chimezie> the mime-type should be authoratative
Danja: so if the mime type had been RDF, you would have gotten some triples?
DanC: yes, I think so; that's sq2, in progress
<DanC_> . <#grddl_rdf> a :Test;
<DanC_> . dc:title "for application/rdf+xml documents, the RDF/XML reading is a grddl result";
<chimezie> if the mime-type says RDF, it should be parsed as such (RDF/XML i.e.) otherwise it should check transformation attribute and namespace of the root (in the case of an RDF/XML document it has a unique namespace URI)
Murray: if the application/xml document bears the RDF namespace, isn't that good enough?
DanC: opinions vary
Murray: this is a question of web architecture, yes?
DanC: yes; the relevant TAG issue is open
Chime: yes, seems application/xml with the RDF namespace is triples that the author meant
Harry: yes, why would you not?
DanC: consider an XSLT literal result
[[ The Internet media type / MIME type for RDF/XML is "application/rdf+xml" ]] -- http://www.w3.org/TR/rdf-syntax-grammar/
<chimezie> sounds like a test case is needed for the scenario where you have an rdf namespace uri with grddl:transformation attribute
<briansuda_> nick briansuda
<briansuda> it is beiansuda
POLL: does sq1ns have any RDF
triples in it? i.e. does a document labelled application/xml
that bears the RDF namespace have triples in it?
... no, yes, yes, ...
... no?, yes, yes,
<briansuda> but i am for looking at the mimeType to determine if it is RDF
poll: no, yes, yes, yes, yes
Harry: I'd like a yes person to deal with the XSLT literal result element, and for a no person to elaborate in email
<scribe> ACTION: DannyA to elaborate on issue-mt-ns, in particular RDF not labelled as application/rdf+xml [recorded in http://www.w3.org/2006/11/01-grddl-wg-minutes.html#action07]
Murray: let's let the TAG know we're aiming for a decision that may set precedent
<scribe> ACTION: DanC to notifiy TAG of interaction between issue-mt-ns and TAG issues on mime types and namespaces (and copy semweb-cg) [recorded in http://www.w3.org/2006/11/01-grddl-wg-minutes.html#action08]
<scribe> ACTION: Harry and Brian to rewrite second part of primer to use Brian and Dan's instance data [CONTINUES] [recorded in http://www.w3.org/2006/11/01-grddl-wg-minutes.html#action09]
<scribe> ACTION: DanC to contribute hotel reviews for primer [CONTINUES] [recorded in http://www.w3.org/2006/11/01-grddl-wg-minutes.html#action10]
<scribe> ACTION: Danny to take testing test harness. [CONTINUES] [recorded in http://www.w3.org/2006/11/01-grddl-wg-minutes.html#action11]
DanC: I did 2 interviews; one resulted in a story; in internetnews.com, I think
Harry: there has been a bit of blog activity
