Dear Advisory Committee Representative,
[This announcement will be forwarded to W3C group chairs]

This is a Call for Review of a proposed recharter for the GPU for the
Web Working Group:
https://www.w3.org/2024/11/gpuweb-charter-review.html

Please review the charter and indicate your support using the following
form:
https://www.w3.org/2002/09/wbs/33280/gpuweb-2024/

The deadline for responses is 04:59 UTC on 21 December 2024 (23:59
Boston time on 20 December) [1].

The mission of the GPU for the Web Working Group is to provide an
interface between the Web Platform and modern 3D graphics and
computation capabilities present on native system platforms. The updated
charter contains no new deliverables. Main substantive change is the
switch to the CR with Snapshots (no intent to advance to Recommendation)
mode.

The expected staff involvement remains 0.05 FTE.

Current participants will not need to re-join the group if the new
charter is approved.

The horizontal review of the charter is available as a Strategy Github
repository issue:

The current charter [2] is hereby extended until 31 January 2025 to
accommodate the charter review period.
