CTS starter tasks and documentation

Hey all,

Here is a list of starter tasks as promised today.

(Note the links go to the Dawn bugtracker - we use this for tracking our
work, so you can check there if someone has taken the task. If you start a
task it would be nice to post there to avoid collisions, but not required.)
