Intel's Investigation of ImageBitmap interop

Hey all,

Shaobo Yan at Intel has been investigating the performance of
copyImageBitmapToTexture in Chromium and possible API changes to unlock
optimizations. At the start of the second day of the VF2F he will be presenting
these slides

(the
schedule is forced because of timezone issues).

The investigation of the copy flow has been based on Chromium's
implementation so far, but before we get deeper in discussions, we should
investigate the flows in other Web engines too. WebKit and Gecko folks, can
you take a look at the slides and maybe fill in the details slide 6 for
your engine? Feel free to request edit access (I already gave it to folks
in CC).
