Hi all, A quick addendum. I thought that this would be transparent but, due to the switch, the IPR repository manager is going to consider everyone who has not yet rejoined the group as "potentially hostile" (meaning as not having sign-off the new Patent Policy) and flag pull requests accordingly. Please work with your Advisory Committee representative to rejoin the group and get back to a green flag... Thanks and sorry for the inconvenience, Francois. ------ Original message ------ From: "xueyuan" <xueyuan@w3.org> To: public-gpu@w3.org Date: 15/12/2020 11:20:49 > >Dear group members, > >I'm relaying the announcement to the Working Group's primary public mailing list, to notify the group members that the group is now rechartered under the Patent Policy 2020, triggering a 45-day grace period [1] for current participants to rejoin the group. > >Kind Regards, >Xueyuan Jia, W3C Marketing & Communications > >[1] https://www.w3.org/2003/12/22-pp-faq.html#recharter > > >-------- Forwarded Message -------- >Subject: Call for participation: 12 Working Groups switching to Patent Policy 2020 >Date: Tue, 15 Dec 2020 16:35:10 +0800 >From: xueyuan <xueyuan@w3.org> >To: w3c-ac-members@w3.org >CC: chairs@w3.org > >Dear Advisory Committee Representative, >Chairs, > >The Director is pleased to announce the adoption of the W3C Patent Policy 2020 in the following Working Groups: > > Audio > https://www.w3.org/2020/12/audio-wg-charter.html > CSS > https://www.w3.org/2020/12/css-wg-charter.html > Decentralized Identifier > https://www.w3.org/2020/12/did-wg-charter.html > EPUB3 > https://www.w3.org/2020/12/epub3-wg-charter.html > GPU for the Web > https://www.w3.org/2020/12/gpu-wg-charter.html > HTML > https://www.w3.org/2020/12/html-wg-charter.html > Second Screen > https://www.w3.org/2020/12/second-screen-wg-charter.html > Timed Text > https://www.w3.org/2020/12/timed-text-wg-charter.html > Verifiable Credentials >https://www.w3.org/2020/12/verifiable-credentials-wg-charter.html > Web Applications > https://www.w3.org/2020/12/webapps-wg-charter.html > Web Fonts > https://www.w3.org/2020/12/web-fonts-wg-charter.html > WebTransport > https://www.w3.org/2020/12/webtransport-wg-charter.html > >The only change to the charters was to adopt the W3C Patent Policy, version of 15 September 2020. > >Because the groups are now rechartered under the Patent Policy 2020, current participants will need to rejoin the groups. > >Please use the following forms to rejoin the groups.
