I’m happy to upload it. Does this location look appropriate? https://github.com/gpuweb/gpuweb/tree/master/process Greg From: Corentin Wallez <cwallez@google.com> Sent: Monday, April 13, 2020 04:57 To: David Neto <dneto@google.com> Cc: Greg Roth <Gregory.Roth@microsoft.com>; public-gpu@w3.org Subject: [EXTERNAL] Re: Protocol for suggested changes to WebGPU spec Thanks Greg for putting this in writing. This matches what we have agreed to repeatedly for the API spec as well, although we're having trouble applying it in practice. Could you put this in a Wiki page or a Markdown file that's common to both the API and WGSL so that we can point people to it? In discussion with @Dan Sinclair<mailto:dsinclair@google.com> and @Myles C. Maxfield<mailto:mmaxfield@apple.com>, we’ve agreed on a protocol for organizing the flow of changes to the WebGPU spec going forward that will hopefully standardize the editing procedure in a way that satisfies everyone. A proposed change that is either considered to be noncontroversial or has already been agreed upon by the group should begin as a pull request to the GitHub repository: https://github.com/gpuweb/gpuweb<https://nam06.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fgithub.com%2Fgpuweb%2Fgpuweb&data=02%7C01%7CGregory.Roth%40microsoft.com%7C66dc73ec89aa40a0603708d7dfa1d89f%7C72f988bf86f141af91ab2d7cd011db47%7C1%7C0%7C637223758524826357&sdata=JgrrjyxUMdDesQ%2BRXPHk7JCo2gzEdYOZCx8VqkPd7Kk%3D&reserved=0> Where it will require approval from an editor. If the pull request is initiated by an editor, another will still have to review it. That is not to say that other feedback on pull requests is unwelcome. Discussions can play out over these as they have previously. If the reviewer agrees that the pull request is uncontroversial or matches what has already been agreed upon, an editor can approve and merge it. To make sure this is conducted properly, interested parties are invited to “watch” the gpuweb repository and monitor the changes there. If something is approved as uncontroversial or resolved seems incorrect, the issue can be brought up and discussed with the larger group if needed. If necessary, merged changes can be reverted or altered if its determined they were in error. If there are no objections, this text will be added to https://github.com/gpuweb/gpuweb/blob/master/wgsl/README.md<https://nam06.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fgithub.com%2Fgpuweb%2Fgpuweb%2Fblob%2Fmaster%2Fwgsl%2FREADME.md&data=02%7C01%7CGregory.Roth%40microsoft.com%7C66dc73ec89aa40a0603708d7dfa1d89f%7C72f988bf86f141af91ab2d7cd011db47%7C1%7C0%7C637223758524826357&sdata=2bNz1vd0JxWfg%2FisW4G4bP2lUqul9uam12ORZJmznmM%3D&reserved=0> Greg
