It's possible in the future. Once: - WebGPU is closer to finalization - Raytracing APIs have matured some more across the native APIs then we would welcome an in-depth investigation into how a raytracing extension could be added to WebGPU (a proposal for an API that can be implemented efficiently and securely on top of all relevant native APIs).
