Hi everyone, We had a very productive call today. It was great to get back together after a few weeks of not seeing each other. Many thanks to Philipp for taking notes. We had quite a few problems with IRC kicking us out, so the bulk of the meeting minutes <https://docs.google.com/document/d/1TeGEsD1JVf7L9bFW3_e7YTnqtmUnpTldJhD6N16ElAU/edit#heading=h.1oju58yh4uw5> are in our Google doc. The group decided to keep the meeting time at the current time with the hope that we can add members from other parts of the world. Our next meeting will be *October 23, 2024* at the following time: UTC NY EST UTC -4 London UTC +1 CEST UTC +2 Jerusalem UTC +3 Delhi / IST UTC +5:30 Tokyo UTC +9 13:00:00 9:00 AM 2:00 PM 3:00 PM 4:00 PM 6:30 PM 10:00 PM To guide the work we do, the Internationalization Working Group (i18n) has asked us to review their documentation. Links can be found in the Internationalization Accessibility Community Group - Key Information <https://docs.google.com/document/d/1yUszRV-VEdoga1OVRgSCrw-XQEZ5Kt6s7PDfieLWh38/edit?usp=sharing> document, items 2 - 5 under the "Related Links" heading. *Homework:* Before the next meeting, our homework is to provide feedback on the following sections of the WCAG 3 Outcomes <https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1cRUWjVZB_0BTQQgLm7Pm_DOMLBtpL7RcsrVwQ3ynBIA/edit?usp=sharing> : 1. Text and wording 2. Image and Media Alternatives 3. Layout 4. User Control 5. Help and Feedback If you have not already done so, please follow the steps in our process document <https://docs.google.com/document/d/1Yl2YMuqhwmWlOi8XC3EcFCkDTWda01zMo8GhnJrkvTg/edit?usp=sharing> to create a tab for yourself in the WCAG 3 Outcomes spreadsheet so that you can review the outcomes on your own and provide feedback. At our October 23, 2024 meeting, we will consolidate our individual feedback into one summary tab that will be shared with AG chairs and then we will choose the next set of outcomes that we will review. Our goal is to finish our feedback of WCAG 3 Outcomes by the end of our meeting on November 6, 2024. *Please note*: - In column C, we added a multi-select drop-down option to identify reasons we might be flagging an outcome as having internationalization concerns. - We were hoping to add a list of checkboxes, but it does not appear that Google Sheets supports that option. - As the Accessibility Guidelines Working Group (AG) moves outcomes into development, column C will help our group remember why we flagged the outcome. This will help us be consistent with our feedback and provide structure for additional feedback as outcomes move through development. - "Needs Plain Language Work" is the default answer in column C. If you believe that the current wording is clear, you can uncheck that option. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. I look forward to working with all of you on this.
